Have you ever set a goal and couldn’t follow through no matter how hard you tried? We can all answer yes to that question. What is it that makes us not follow through and end up completely giving up? so many of us have wondered. Some might label such people as lazy and unmotivated, we at Capu Healthy like to call it trial-an-error. The truth is many of us just don’t know how to accomplish what we set our minds to.
We live in an era where we are bombarded with so much information and left disarrayed. Every day there’s a new trend, diet, or workout program that is “Supposedly” better than all the rest. We are tired of it all, and so we just give up. Here in Capu Healthy we believe in moderation and listening to your body. Follow your instincts, no one knows what’s best for you more than yourself. Anything that is extreme will probably fail, and if by fluke chance it works, most definitely won’t last for long. Especially given the fact that we all lead a very busy life, whether you work or stay home, there’s just not enough time in the day to get it all done.
When it comes to working out, we recommend starting out slow and when you feel that you are ready for the next stage, you can increase the amount of days you workout gradually. We don’t recommend anything that is too strenuous especially in the beginning.
What really worked for me personally, when I started to workout after having my second child was a workout called “Piyo”. My body was too stiff and I used to suffer from back issues. I used to run out of breath really fast, I was at a loss and I really needed to find a good place to start. After doing so much research, I luckily found a nearby family gym that goes by “YMCA”. There I became friends with so many people that were in a similar situation as I am. Together we motivated each other to workout even when we were very busy. I started to experiment with the different workouts that they offered, many at first didn’t work for me except for one, finally, I stumbled upon my perfect workout.
Piyo is a combination of pilates and yoga. It requires no running, jumping, or any other type of strenuous moves that someone like myself couldn’t do as a beginner. Yet after the workout I found myself sweating as if I just completed a marathon. Piyo uses your own body weight to shape, tone, and sculpt your body. As my schedule became hectic and couldn’t find time to go to the gym, I found the best Piyo workout from home program by Chalene Johnson beachbody.
This workout gave my body the strength it lacked and now I can do any workout I want. I have the energy and endurance that I needed to build and now I can even participate in races.
Our recommendation is always listening to your body and starting off slow, we can’t emphasize the importance of that enough. Setting a goal is essential, but having a reasonable and realistic plan of action will determine if you will achieve your goal or not. Most of the time we fail not because we are failures or unmotivated, but because we didn’t follow the right steps that will work for us.
