Sometimes it’s hard to feed your family healthy food, especially the youngsters that think candy is all the food that they will ever need. That is why it’s important to introduce new healthy ideas on a regular basis. Teaching young child to eat healthy is a lesson that they can’t afford not to learn, and it’s better when it’s taught early on in life.
Children are not the only ones that have trouble eating healthy these days, adults are the same if not worst sometimes. When someone thinks of a salad, they envision a plate full of plain greens that don’t taste like anything. One of my favorite, easy, and delicious meals is tabbouleh salad.
This salad is very easy to make, taste great, and best of all it’s extremely healthy. Each ingredient that goes into this salad is loaded with its own vitamins and health benefits. Taking the main component of this dish which is parsley, for example, this vegetable is full of nutrients and vitamins such as vitamin K, C, A, B3, B1, folate, iron, copper, potassium, magnesium, fiber, and zinc. Parsley is also an excellent source of antioxidant, it is known to prevent damage in cells.
In addition to all these health benefits from eating the parsley alone, when adding the other ingredients to the salad such as tomatoes, olive oil, mint, and lemon juice, you end up with a very healthy salad that also tastes and looks great. Below is the list of ingredients you will need:
Place the 1/4 cup of wheat bulgur in the warm water and set aside till the bulgur becomes soft. In a bowl add the chopped onions, add the lemon juice, minced tomatoes, and mint. Set aside for few minutes while you’re preparing the parsley.
Wash the parsley very well and chop it into very tiny fine pieces then add it to the bowl. Check the bulgur and make sure it’s soft and chewy if it then adds it to the bowl. Grab your favorite olive oil and add it with the salt and mix everything well together.
Enjoy your way to a fit and healthy physique, by always introducing exciting new recipes for you and your family, Bonne Petite from Capuhealthy.
